RN to BSN Admission Requirements
An applicant to Jacksonville University’s online RN to BSN degree program, offered through the school of nursing, must be a graduate from a state-approved Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma nursing program.
Do You Meet the Following Requirements?
- Online students are required to have an active U.S. registered nurse license; however, licensure in the State of Florida is not required.
- Students must have earned a "C" or better in general education courses where transfer credit is requested.
Admission steps:
Enrolling in the program is easy. You can even take your first nursing class while you complete the formal application process.
- Complete the application packet.
- Send a transcript release form to each school you have attended. Request that your official transcripts be mailed to Jacksonville University, c/o University Alliance Online.
- Include a photocopy of your active U.S. RN license (front and back). Alternately, you may submit a page printed from your state’s board of nursing website verifying the status and expiration date of your license.
- Include a photocopy of your government-issued photo identification (passport, military ID, driver’s license, identification card, etc.). Please make sure your picture can be seen on the photocopy.
- You have two options for submitting the application components:
- Fax the completed application, U.S. RN license verification and a copy or your photo ID to 800-497-3397. Be sure to include your credit card information (where noted on the application) for the non-refundable $35 application fee. Please note that faxing the copy of your photo ID may result in a non-verifiable photo. You may then be asked to mail a copy of your photo ID.
- Or mail all components and a check for the $35 application fee payable to “Jacksonville University.”
