Military Benefits

Jacksonville University honors numerous military-related education benefits. Please refer to our Military page for details on special tuition rates for eligible servicemembers, veterans and their dependents.

Jacksonville University offers institutional scholarships and accepts a wide variety of scholarships and grants from other sources.

The Jacksonville University Online RN to BSN Honor Scholarship will award one (1) scholarship per session – a total of six per year. The scholarship is valued at 25% off tuition for all JU Online RN to BSN courses, excluding the cost of books and materials. The scholarship remains in effect as long as the recipient continues to be an active degree-seeking student, is continuously enrolled in JU online courses and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Scholarship winners may not combine scholarship funds with other tuition offers.

Who Is Eligible?

This scholarship will be awarded to applicants who are first-time students of JU’s online RN to BSN program. Each applicant must also:

  • Meet all entrance criteria for JU’s online RN to BSN program

  • Have a 3.0 GPA upon applying to JU

  • Remain a student in good standing with JU’s online RN to BSN program and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Applicant must not have previously enrolled in any JU online course

  • Applicant may only apply twice

How To Apply

  • The applicant must complete and submit a scholarship application.

  • In addition to the completed scholarship application, the applicant must submit a 300-word essay answering the following: “You are at the end of your nursing career and you are writing your autobiography. Please describe how earning a BSN degree made a difference for you.”

The scholarship application includes instructions on how to submit both the essay and the application. The submission deadline is two weeks prior to the first day of the next session.

In addition to our university-sponsored scholarships, JU encourages students who are seeking scholarship opportunities to apply for outside opportunities as well.

We encourage students to apply for financial aid and to begin the process as soon as possible.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Jacksonville University's school code is 001495.

  2. Complete the application for admission to your program of choice.

  3. Our Financial Aid office will use the information from your FAFSA to help determine your eligibility for federal aid.

Many organizations recognize the need for their employees to enhance their skills and advance their education by providing tuition assistance or reimbursement benefits that may also cover fees, textbooks and other materials.

There are several interest-free payment options available for you that separate tuition fees into three payments over each session. Contact us to determine which of these flexible options might be best for you. All major credit cards accepted.
