To be considered for acceptance into JU’s online MSN degree programs, you must provide:

  • Completed online admissions application

  • Current unencumbered U.S. RN license

  • Proof of graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited BSN nursing program with an overall undergraduate nursing coursework grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

    • Students with an overall undergraduate nursing coursework GPA below a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale must submit an official copy of the GRE to be considered for admission. GRE scores must total 900 or above on the combined verbal and quantitative sections. If the GRE was taken prior to August 2011, the score needs to be 290 or above.

  • Official or Unofficial transcript(s) from a BSN granting institution and all other attended colleges or universities

    • Official transcripts for any course that is being transferred for credit

    • Unofficial transcripts from BSN granting institution will be acceptable for a conditionally accepted admission status

  • Unofficial or Official copies of transcripts showing evidence of completion of an undergraduate course in statistics (which can be from outside of a math department) and physical assessment with a grade of C or above.
  • Three recommendations; two of which should be professional references. References should be from a supervisor familiar with the student’s clinical abilities and, if possible, an educator who taught the student.

  • Jacksonville University BSN graduate students:

    • Do not need to submit their Jacksonville University undergraduate degree bearing transcript.

    • Do not need to provide Official or Unofficial transcripts for either health assessments or statistics.

  • A 1-2 page essay describing personal reasons for pursuing an advanced degree and professional goals

  • Professional resume or CV

  • Submit a photocopy of your government-issued photo identification (passport, driver's license, identification card, etc.).

  • International applicants must meet all program admissions requirements as well as international student admissions criteria – as outlined in the JU Academic Catalog.

Additional co/prerequisite courses may be required depending on academic background and work experience.
