Overview

Nurse managers and administrators play a vital role in the economic and administrative viability of healthcare organizations. They are directly involved with the implementation of new technologies and clinical interventions. They also play major roles in regulatory, legislative, and public policy in order to promote and preserve healthy communities.

What You'll Learn

In our RN to MSN degree completion program, you’ll learn the essential concepts of financial management in healthcare: budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and marketing. You’ll learn how each of these factors impact patient care. You will develop an understanding of how to manage resources, develop plans and analyze human resources in the nursing field. You will gain a thorough understanding of nurse licensing, laws, and regulations at both the state and federal levels.

You will also prepare for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Nurse Executive, Advanced certification (NEA-BC).

For nurses who are seeking their BSN degree and then wish to continue their education to obtain their MSN degree, the RN to BSN to MSN track gives students the opportunity to obtain their MSN Degree without interruption. This track gives students who are obtaining their BSN degree the opportunity to continue directly on to their MSN Degree without interruption.
